Q: What makes The Haven different from other Assisted Living Facilities?
A: The Haven at Shorrock Gardens offers unmatched value for assisted living in the area. We provide a residential, comfortable, more home-like atmosphere rather than the impersonal hotel-like environment of many other assisted living communities. Our large apartments are in a one-story residential setting so our residents don’t have to worry about stairs or elevators. In most cases, the monthly rates at The Haven will cover 80-90% of one’s cost of living. With so many services covered in the monthly fee, many residents find that the cost of buying these services, while remaining in their own home is higher than the cost of living at The Haven. The Haven is part of a Continuum of Care community sharing a 55 acre campus with The Arbors, a premier long term care facility and Silverwodds, an Independent Retirement Community. The Haven at Shorrock Gardens is owned and operated by the Hovnanian Family of companies, a provider of senior housing and healthcare services in Ocean County for over 40 years.
